Before progressing to the next stage try to accomplish all of the following
THEORY
from memory, learn and be able to
name all the major chords
name all the minor chords
understand chord make up theory
explain the terms, root note, triad, etc
explain basic scale theory
explain the terms, chromatic, sharps, flats, etc
name all the notes of a given string all the way to the 12th fret
PRACTICAL
play all the major chords clearly from memory
play all the minor chords clearly from memory
play 3 out of 4 basic chord progressions for Amazing Grace
Play a chord progression from the song book
follow the practice tips and when you have completed the
revision tips and feel comfortable, you are ready to send for your exam.
