The Skool of guitar excellence
PART 1: This is perhaps the most difficult bit, the fast paced opening lead riff, the signature of the song really.
It is made more complex with the quick position shifts. It is hard to get the position, bend to the right pitch and a vibrato too! Only slow methodical practice will get you through so be determined and patient!
PART 2: Now an easier bit, the rhythm part that accompanies the lead riff. Try to get the bass note on the 5th string that goes in between each power chord change and the double stops in the second bit.
PART 3: I done this in two parts, the first shows the alternate picking technique required in order to get up to speed. Practice this slowly to start and don't try to push for speed.
The second part shows the fretting hand which is straightforward but watch the shift of just one finger on the D power chord with the rhythm change towards the end.
